how was your weekend? if you are in new york city, did you go cheer on the marathoners yesterday?
as i mentioned on friday’s post, i knew four people running it. i went to cheer them on, sadly did not see any of them. BUT, they all did fantastic and i am incredibly proud.

i love the new york city marathon, cheering on the runners as they engage in this incredible challenge is inspiring. the runners are from all walks of life and ages. it is specially nice when a runner has their name written on their shirt, when you cheer specially to them their faces lit up.

on the first sunday of november, throngs of new yorkers go out to cheer on friends and strangers as they run through the five boroughs. it creates a sense of community in us and it seems we are all proud of all the runners, not just the people we know.

yesterday was a gorgeous day. it was one of those perfect new york fall days, perfect for a marathon.

i have an insane amount of respect for those running. it is perhaps because i am not sure i could ever run a marathon since i’m not much of a runner. so for now i will cheer on friends and strangers running on first sunday in november.

thanks for stopping by. i hope you have a fantastic week!
hasta luego,
