jully’s cranberry sauce!

with thanksgiving around the corner i have decided to post a few holiday recipes. today’s recipe is for a super easy cranberry sauce. my cousin jully made this sauce for us last thanksgiving and it could not have been more delicious or easy. i texted her a few weeks ago asking if i could use the recipe for the blog. so, with her blessing here it is: jully’s cranberry sauce recipe!

INGREDIENTS:
3 cups of fresh cranberries
2 cups of sugar
1 cinnamon stick
1 orange peel

INSTRUCTIONS:
wash the cranberries and put them in a sauce pan with the cinnamon stick, sugar and orange peel. cover with water.

cook on high heat until it starts to boil.

and then lower to medium-low heat to simmer.

simmer the sauce for about 45 minutes, until the cranberries break down.

taste the sauce and add more sugar if necessary. this part is a matter of tastes, i like my cranberry sauce a bit on tart side.

let it cool slightly and serve.

wasn’t this so easy?!

serve your sauce over your turkey and enjoy!

what are you doing for thanksgiving?

thank you for stopping by. i hope you have a great week!
