this was so easy to make! just put everything in the pot and wait. that is the one aspect of this that i didn’t like, the waiting. you see, i was really hungry when i started cooking and was a little impatient. but i held off and cooked it the whole way. i am so glad i did, it was so good, and we had plenty of left overs for the next day. so here it is, fettuccine with meat sauce.
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2-2lbs of low fat ground beef
1 can of chopped tomatoes
1 cup of marinara/pasta sauce
5 garlic cloves
1 cup of red wine
olive oil
salt & pepper
1/2 onion
dried oregano
3-4 tablespoons of sugar

(yup, missing ingredients again!)
PREPARATION:
chop up the onion and divide in half. peel and mince 2 garlic cloves. heat up 2 tablespoons of olive oil on a pot.

add half of the onions and the 2 minced garlic cloves

once the onions wilt add the meat

cover and cook. once the meat is brown all over

add the rest of the onions and the garlic. do not mince the rest of the garlic, just cut them in half if you want.

add the canned tomatoes

and the wine

add the oregano and the pasta sauce

because we added wine, tomatoes and tomato sauce, the sauce in the pot has a lot of acidity now. so to fix this add 3-4 tablespoons of sugar. trust me.

mix everything well

cover and cook for an hour on low-medium heat.

check on it a few times

yeah, that’s ready!
once you are ready, serve over pasta - i used fettuccine. top with some cheese and enjoy!

hope you try it!

thanks for stopping by!
